Owners of elite brands face a real challenge in terms of personal promotion. How to stand out and make your company’s exclusive business cards even more prominent? It turns out that there is no shortage of creative ideas. Some require enormous financial resources, others rely more on innovation and the clever use of modern printing methods. Here are examples of some of them.
Minimalism or glamour?
In the era of widespread digitalization and the „everything has already been” syndrome, one of the solutions turned out to be a return to the ancient origins of business tickets – calligraphy. The French street art artist Nicolas Ouchenir came up with an idea that was brilliant in its simplicity and began to create business cards by hand, just as it was done in medieval China, when printing was not yet so common. The concept became extremely relevant. Currently, such giants of the fashion industry as Christian Dior, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and many others are seeking the Frenchman’s services.
The elitism of the artist’s business cards lies in the handcrafting of each individual piece and his original approach. However, people from Black Astrum stated that nothing increases the value of a business card like… diamonds. The ultra-snobbish metal showcase of their design was complemented with these precious stones. The cost of one sheet of paper is estimated at approximately PLN 1.5 thousand. dollars. Although the company has already received orders from, among others: from wealthy businessmen and Hollywood stars, he swears that its owners will choose who they will share it with, choosing from among the world’s elite, which further affects its hermetic status. We admit that this is a truly noble gadget.
Still elite, less extreme
But what should we do if hiring a world-famous calligrapher or including minerals in our business card is an act of a bit of exaggerated whimsy, and we still want to belong to a company that hands out exclusive business cards?
There are several solutions. They are all based on the selection of better quality materials. Maybe not diamonds, but still something that will stand out from ordinary paper boxes. Let’s note right away that we’re not talking about business cards that stand out for their above-average design, we focus primarily on style and elegance. After all, a lawyer or the president of a prestigious company does not need a business card that is too flashy, it would even be frowned upon in the community.
The materials that can be used and offered by selected printing houses include:
Plastic business cards – see what’s on the other side. For a relatively short time, modern printers have made it possible to place paint on plastics on a wide scale. This allows you to produce completely innovative business cards, which, with the right design, can look stylish and modern against the background of commonly known cardboard boxes.
Embossed business cards – we are entering a new era. Since the release of James Cameron’s Avatar in cinemas, 3D technology has become almost a must when producing blockbusters. This fashion apparently had to be transferred to business cards, because engraving is also increasingly used in their creation.
Gilding – i.e. classic refinement. Adding golden motifs to a classic business card instead of the name of the holder or the company logo is a less flashy solution than sprinkling it with opals, and at the same time indicates the level of style of the person giving the card.
Further examples can be multiplied. Remember that when deciding to print exclusive business cards, we should go to a printing house that knows the process of producing such sophisticated goods.
What do you think, would you rather receive a business card made by a calligrapher or one studded with diamonds?
